Labor Force Situation of Banten Province August 2024

Abstract

The number of the labor force based on the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in August 2024 was 6.21 million people, an increase of 4.15 million people compared to August 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) increased by 1.73 percentage points compared to August 2023.
The working population in August 2024 was 5.80 million people, an increase of 5.10 million people from August 2023. The main industry that experienced the largest increase was Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries by 109.59 thousand people.
In August 2024, 3.12 million people (53.79 percent) worked in formal activities, increased by 0.10 percentage points compared to August 2023.
The percentage of underemployed in August 2024 rose by 1.67 percentage points, while part-time workers fell by 1.20 percentage points compared to August 2023.
Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2024 was 6.68 percent, down 0.84 percentage points compared to August 2023.
