Abstract

Human development in Banten Province continues to consistently progress, as indicated by the increase in the Human Development Index (HDI). In 2024, Banten Province's HDI has reached 76.35 or an increase of 0.58 points compared to last year's 75.77.
The increase in HDI 2024 occurs in all dimensions that form HDI, especially decent living standards and knowledge.
In the knowledge dimension, the expected length of schooling (HLS) for the population is 7 years old in 2024 increased by 0.01 years compared to the previous year, from 13.09 years to 13.10 years. Meanwhile, the average length of school (RLS) for the population aged 25 years and over increased by 0.08 years, from 9.15 years to 9.23 years in 2024.
Decent living standards dimension measured based on average real expenditure per capita per year (adjusted) in 2024, increased by 496 thousand rupiah or 3.94 percent compared to the previous year.
