Profile of Poverty in Banten Province in September 2024

Abstract

The percentage of poor people in September 2024 was 5.70 percent, down 0.14 percentage points compared to March 2024 and down 0.47 percentage points compared to March 2023.
The number of poor people in September 2024 was 777.49 thousand people, down 14.12 thousand people compared to March 2024 and down 48.64 thousand people compared to March 2023.
The percentage of urban poor people in September 2024 was 5.57 percent, down compared to March 2024 (5.69 percent). Meanwhile, the percentage of rural poor people in September 2024 was 6.20 percent, lower than March 2024 (6.44 percent).
Compared to March 2024, the number of urban poor people in September 2024 fell by 8.55 thousand people (from 615.07 thousand people in March 2024 to 606.52 thousand people in September 2024). Meanwhile, in the same period, the number of rural poor people fell by 5.56 thousand people (from 176.54 thousand people in March 2024 to 170.98 thousand people in September 2024).
The Poverty Line in September 2024 was recorded at IDR 667,403/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 486,415 (72.88 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 180,988 (27.12 percent).
In September 2024, the average poor household in Banten Province has 5.32 household members. Thus, the average Poverty Line per household is Rp3,550,584/poor household/month.
