Development of Consumer Price Index in Banten Province in September 2024

Abstract

In September 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Banten Province of 2.03 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.46. The highest inflation occurred in Lebak Regency at 2.24 percent with a CPI of 105.97.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 2.02 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.88 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.30 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 2.53 percent; health group by 1.73 percent; transportation group by 0.68 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.13 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.40 percent; education group by 1.56 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 4.59 percent; and personal care and other services group by 6.31 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate of Banten Province in September 2024 was 0.26 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 0.78 percent.
