Development of Consumer Price Index in Banten Province, January 2025

Abstract

In January 2025 there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Banten Province of 0.85 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.49. The highest inflation occurred in Pandeglang Regency at 1.73 percent with a CPI of 105.91.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in the index of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.38 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.09 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.92 percent; health group by 2.61 percent; transportation group by 0.78 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.30 percent; education group by 1.59 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 4.20 percent; and personal care and other services group by 7.40 percent. Meanwhile, two groups experienced deflation, namely the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 12.23 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.17 percent.
Banten Province's month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate in January 2025 was 1.05 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 1.05 percent.
